A Brighter Future
Equitable Education
Our Unique Model

We are here to support students in Reno, Sparks and Sun Valley, all throughout Western Nevada.  Our mission is simple: surround students with a community of support inside our schools. Our site coordinators work to create an equitable path to education by breaking through barriers and doing whatever it takes for our students.

By serving more than 9,000 students across 15 schools and counting, we’re empowering students to stay in school and unlocking their potential for a brighter future.

Site Coordinators Making a Difference

Our site coordinators share what they love most about helping our students build a better path to their future.

When one of my 3rd graders started working with CIS, he was struggling. At the start of school, his attendance was 42%. After meeting regularly and working to build trust and rapport, he started to open up. He was smiling and talkative, more engaged in class and in high spirits every day. This is when his attendance jumped to 74%.
