Welcoming Dalisa Cooper and Kimberly Hanson to the CIS Team

Communities In Schools of Nevada (CIS), the nation’s leading evidence-based stay-in-school organization serving 118 Nevada schools with regional offices in the Clark, Elko, Humboldt, and Washoe County school districts, announces the appointment of Dalisa Cooper to director of development and engagement and Kimberly Hanson to controller.

In her new role as director of development and engagement, Cooper assists with fundraising efforts for CIS of Nevada’s three affiliates statewide, including charitable initiatives, marketing opportunities, donor cultivation, and more. Cooper has an extensive background in nonprofit fundraising, strategic engagement, and relationship building. Prior to joining CIS of Nevada, she built and managed one of Las Vegas’ most prominent boutique photography studios.

Hanson joins CIS of Nevada as controller and oversees accounting and finance functions, including forecasting, generating financial reports, auditing,g and more. Hanson brings a wealth of accounting and finance expertise to her role via previously held positions, including accounting technician for Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department and controller for the Boys and Girls Clubs of Southern Nevada.
