Whatever It Takes

Our Unique Model

CIS of Northeastern Nevada – Humboldt has grown to serve more than 3,000 students in 6 schools.

Supporting local students so they can focus and succeed inside the classroom is what we do best. From ensuring kids show up to school, to improving academics and improving behavior, CIS works to identify and confront any roadblocks so students can focus on learning and achieving their dreams. CIS also works with students to learn their career goals and the path to succeed in life.

Class of 2024 student was facing challenges. Working full-time and supporting his family, he was chronically absent and behind in credits. With the help of CIS Site Coordinator, he set goals like buying a car and applying for scholarships. Encouraged to pursue his dream of becoming an electrician, CIS helped him improve his attendance and academic performance. He successfully completed his credits and graduated, earning a scholarship to Great Basin College. Before leaving for school, he returned to Lowry High to thank CIS for believing in him and helping him achieve his dreams.
