Communities In Schools of Nevada Appoints New Board Member

Communities In Schools of Nevada (CIS of Nevada), part of the nation’s leading evidence-based dropout prevention nonprofit organization serving 117 Nevada schools with regional offices in the Clark, Elko, Humboldt, and Washoe County school districts, announces the appointment of board member Ann Silver.

Ann Silver is the CEO of the Reno + Sparks Chamber of Commerce, the largest business organization in northern Nevada, and has been at the helm of the company since 2015. Previous positions include CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northern Nevada, senior vice president of human resources and labor relations for global food service and restaurant company COMPASS, and general manager of Radio City Music Hall. Silver received a psychology degree from Cornell University and a doctorate in labor relations from Notre Dame Law School.
