Ready to chow down for a great cause?
On Tuesday, May 15, restaurants from all across Nevada (Reno, Elko and Las Vegas) will participate in a grand-scale fundraising event to benefit CIS of Nevada. Participating restaurants will donate a percentage of all sales from the day to help students in Nevada gain access to the resources they need to succeed in the classroom and achieve in life.

Did you know it costs $85 for a senior to rent a cap and gown for graduation?
Did you know non-refundable college application fees range from from $45 to $75?
Did you know SAT and ACT tests costs up to $75 per student?
Add these costs to the many other burdens these high-risk, low-income students face in their day-to-day struggles to stay in school, and it becomes clearer why so many promising students never think they will graduate, let alone go to college.
Communities In Schools of Nevada works with hundreds of case-managed seniors every day in Nevada high schools to connect them to the resources they need to stay in school and stay on track to graduate. Sometimes that support needs to be purely financial, to help offset hard costs like testing fees.
Next year, Communities in Schools estimates we will have 10% more seniors to help.
That’s why the great restaurants below have agreed to help by donating a percentage of their profits to CIS of Nevada. YOU can help them, by dining out on Tuesday, May 15th. A meal at any of these great eateries not only tickles your tastebuds, but helps a deserving senior take the next steps – first onto the graduation stage and then into higher education.
